The Westside Business Social held a fundraiser for the Ivy Bend Food Pantry on December 28th.  Food items were donated by the members of the organization.  WOW!!!  Four HEAPING baskets of food, as well as a very generous monetary donation was delivered to the pantry by Kathy and Kevin Anderson the very next day.   Since the pantry is entirely volunteer, the donation will be   very beneficial to our operating expenses. We strive to serve the people of Morgan County, Missouri through the distribution of food, education, training and counseling. On behalf of our friends, neighbors and volunteers - God Bless you thank you so very much.

Most of us have, at one time or another, visited and purchased items from Amazon.  Here is a great way to order and promote contributions to our pantry.

AmazonSmile is a website operated by Amazon that lets customers enjoy the same wide selection of products, low prices, and convenient shopping features as on Amazon.com.  The difference is that when customers shop at AmazonSmile (smile.amazon.com), the AmazonSmile Foundation donates 0.5% of the price of eligible purchases to the charitable organization (Ivy Bend Food Pantry) selected by customers.

Please take a few minutes to check our the smile.amazon.com website.    Use this site for ordering and designate Ivy Bend Food Pantry as the organization to receive your foundation donations.  Thank you.

We have received grants from Co-Mo Electric and Sam's Club that will go toward funding an industrial dishwasher for the kitchen.  An additional request for funding from MFA has been approved and upon receipt of the funding, we will have the needed amount to purchase and install the unit.  Stay tuned.

The Ivy Bend Community Food Pantry received an award from the Missouri Department of Economic Development's Neighborhood Assistance Program that funded an expansion at the facility in southern Morgan County.

The tax credit grant allowed more local money to stay local rather than go to the state and federal governments for wider distribution.

The pantry received its full proposed amount of $308,210 in the grant. That is the amount of donations the pantry received through the program, with $215,747 in tax credits available.

Ivy Bend's award was one of five food pantry programs in the state that received assistance in a recent award announcement from the DOD.

We have received our full $308,210.00 in NAP Grant Donations and the new Pantry became fully operational in July of 2015.

The new pantry building, provides an opportunity to store and give a larger quantity and variety of food to its residents and surrounding communities of Southwestern Morgan County in Missouri. The facility includes free GED education classes, a FREE senior citizen hot lunch program, AA services, limited health services, as well as an after-school tutoring program for children in the Ivy Bend community who are struggling academically.
